ABOUT TEPLOMA

Heatproof material TEPLOMA is a high-quality modern material which is made by mixing polystyrene granules at high temperature with further extrusion from an extruder and adding a foaming agent. Marketable appearance TEPLOMA is light blue boards 20-100 mm thick, 600 mm wide and 1200 mm long. Our material has a firm packaging from heat shrinkable polyethylene with ultraviolet protection for efficient storage on outdoor areas.

Technology of extrusive manufacturing was developed in the 50-s of the previous century in the USA and in the international practice of manufacturing and building such materials have the name “XPS boards”. Successes of this technology are conditioned with development of special equipment (lines), perfection of parameters of recycling and foaming of polymer blend in the process of extrusion. As a foaming agent in TEPLOMA material they use non-toxic, non-combustible and absolutely ozone-safe mixture of chlorofluorohydrocarbons. Foam enhancer which is used for TEPLOMA manufacturing is also used in refrigerators and cooling installations, it is safe for a human and environment.

Together with zero capillarity and ignorable water absorption (less than 0,2 rot. %), extruded polystyrene (thanks to its structure) has an extremely high compressive resistance as well as stable heatproof characteristics considerably exceeding mean values of many other insulants (heat conductivity – 0,03 W/m K). It is freeze resistant and has a long working life, it is chemically resistant (except for organic solvents, glacial acid and benzene) and decay resistant. It can be glued with a hot bitumen or special composite glues.

Extrusive recycling let obtain material with a perfect closed pore microcell structure that leads to raising of physical and mechanical characteristics of TEPLOMA at low water absorption and initial moisture and, as a result, considerably increases exploitation term in all the cases of application keeping the value of heat conductivity coefficient near to the initial state. These properties of extruded polystyrene let develop new efficient construction solutions in heat insulation of buildings and structures (exterior heat protection, inversion roofs etc), as a result of which non-press polystyrene (expanded plastic) will be gradually excluded from practice of national building.

Extruded polystyrene TEPLOMA has some advantages in comparison with the other heatproof materials:

  • Thanks to their structure, the boards have stable properties;
  • It does not conduct water that’s why it has a long working life;
  • The boards have a zero capillarity, thus a zero water absorption;
  • Heat conductivity of the boards 0,028 W/m*°Ñ.
