Various options of heat resistance from boards, original and technically and economically efficient solutions on heat insulation in many branches of economics of Ukraine became possible thanks to unique properties of extruded polystyrene.

TPLOMA boards, for instance, are applied on laying drainage, plumbing, heating, sewage collection and the other systems. At that there are various options of heat insulation solutions from boards. TEPLOMA boards let decrease the depth of pipe laying in comparison with the formerly accepted way. Using a heat insulation layer of TEPLOMA boards the pipes are placed in the depth of 50 mm slashing the volume of ground works. Application of a heat insulation layer of extruded polystyrene on laying the pipes of different destination let save 30-70% of construction value in comparison with traditional construction.

TEPLOMA boards can be applied in refrigerator techniques on construction of cooling rooms, shopwindows, freezing installations, reservoir for intense cold, refrigerators, wagon refrigerators, reservoir for dry ice transportation etc. Having a low coefficient of heat conductivity extruded polystyrene let decrease not only the thickness of a heat insulation layer in 20-30% in comparison with the other materials but considerably lighten a general weight of constructions.

TEPLOMA boards became particularly important in conditions of development of Ukrainian highways. When used as heat insulation on road construction TEPLOMA boards let:

• decrease the depth of fill;
• increase supporting capacity of roadway;
• increase useful life of roadway;
• considerably reduce the terms of highway construction.

Fill made with TEPLOMA boards is much easier than a traditional one and holds a fixed load without slump. Such constructions of fills are widely applied on extending the highways on an astable slope and on renewing geometrical characteristics of the highways destroyed with landslides. Construction of the roadway using TEPLOMA boards 80 mm thick is sufficient to avoid ground distending. Thickness of coverage on protecting from freezing shall be determined by thermotechnical calculation and can make up to 150 mm.

A layer from extruded polystyrene is laid on sand, adjusting pillow 10 cm thick. The boards are covered with a layer of sand 200-270 mm thick. Chip 200-210 mm thick (with addition of 6% of cement to reinforce) is laid over and asphalt coat is laid on it.

Besides the above options of TEPLOMA application it can be used as supporting material to put the layers of the other materials (sandwich panels, postforming). The boards are suggested to be covered with wood, artificial materials, metal etc. In this case TEPLOMA boards can be applied beginning from interior finishing and ending with external face.
